There aren’t many Colorado lawyers who haven’t heard of Mary Lathrop — her legal career paved the way for thousands of women to follow in the profession.
The U.S. Supreme Court remanded the Boulder County lawsuit against Suncor Energy back to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. On Feb. 8, the 10th Circuit affirmed the district court’s order remanding the action to the state court.
The appeals ask the U.S. Supreme Court to throw out its 2003 ruling in Grutter v. Bollinger which allowed race to be considered under certain circumstances in college admissions.
