Court of Appeals Reverses $3 Million Judgment Against For-Profit College, Sends to New Judge for New Trial

The Court of Appeals on Aug. 26 reversed a $3 million judgment against a for-profit college accused of deceptive trade practices. The court concluded the consumer protection claims against the college must be retried in front of another judge to “preserve the appearance of justice.”
