Spot Opens For 11th Judicial District Judgeship

With the retirement of Judge Charles Barton, a vacancy on the 11th Judicial District bench will open July 1. The nominating commission will meet at the Fremont Combined Court in Canon City on May 11 to interview and select nominees for gubernatorial appointment to the office of district judge. The 11th Judicial District includes Chaffee, Custer, Fremont and Park counties.
