Gender & Pronouns in the Legal Practice

June 5 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm

From event organizers:

Judge Ted Tow will highlight the significance of implementing inclusive courtroom procedures. He will cover both statutory and ethical perspectives under the Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act, with a particular focus on understanding pronouns and gender identity. This session will emphasize the importance of addressing individuals by learning about who they are and how they want to be addressed, as well as using pronouns in the practice of law. Learn how to create an inclusive legal environment, within the firm and in the courtroom.

Judge Tow served on the trial bench for seven years as a District Judge in Adams County. He began his legal career in private practice, working as an associate primarily in labor and employment for three different law firms in Chicago and Denver, including Sherman & Howard.
