Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP announced that Xavier Webb and Roni Vogt have joined the firm as associates. Webb joins the firm’s tax group, and Vogt joins its corporate and business group.
Webb represents clients in various general transactional tax matters, including corporate mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; partnerships, LLCs and other joint ventures; private equity fund formation; real estate, real estate fund formation and real estate investment trusts; regulated investment company tax planning and analysis; and financing and capital markets transactions.
Webb’s practice also includes handling tax issues related to asset-backed securitizations and structured finance transactions, including the review of credit agreements. He has an extensive background working with fund sponsors on tax aspects of real estate-focused private investment funds, advising tax-exempt organizations, non-U.S. entities and other investors on effectively connected income and unrelated business taxable income tax issues.
Before joining Davis Graham, Webb was a tax associate in the Charlotte and Chicago offices of a large international law firm, where he focused on complex transactions and disputes. Webb earned his LL.M. from the University of California, Irvine Graduate Tax Program; his J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law; and his bachelor’s degree in political science from North Carolina State University. Webb is admitted to practice in Illinois and North Carolina.
Vogt focuses her practice on construction, real estate and oil and gas matters. She is admitted to practice in Colorado.
Vogt brings a blend of legal and engineering experience and project management skills to the firm, which helps shape her approach to law. Before joining Davis Graham, Vogt’s practice concentrated on transactional commercial construction and real estate law.
Before attending law school, Vogt worked as a petroleum reservoir engineer, a role she held for five years in Texas and Colorado. This work gives her industry insight into regulatory frameworks, project development and operational challenges, and informs her ability to navigate the complex legal issues faced by clients.
Vogt received her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she also completed a Certificate in Corporate Commercial Law. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Colorado School of Mines.
