Sherman & Howard on May 1 announced the return of litigation and transactional attorney Chelsea Reinhard.

With years of experience in real estate and construction litigation, Reinhard represents owners, architects and contractors in a wide array of construction and real estate disputes.

The firm noted Reinhard began as a summer associate, then a full-time associate and rejoined to step into a unique hybrid practice of transactional and trial work.

“Returning to Sherman & Howard feels a lot like coming home. The firm shaped me into the attorney I am today,” said Reinhard in a press release. “With the support of this team, I am ready to take my career to the next level by incorporating more transactional work into my practice.”

“We are thrilled to have Chelsea back at the firm,” said litigation co-lead Tamir Goldstein in the announcement. “She is an asset to our litigation team, and we look forward to supporting her as she moves her practice to a hybrid model.”

Reinhard has a background in journalism and served as the editor-in-chief of a news publication in San Angelo, Texas, before attending law school. She leverages her perspective as a former reporter covering local real estate development issues pending before the city council, county commissioner’s court, zoning board and design and historic review board to help her clients navigate competing interests when seeking local government approvals in public, and often vocal, forums.

“My experience as a journalist covering real estate matters helps bring perspective to my work,” said Reinhard in a press release. “I leverage the skills and knowledge I gained to assist my clients in achieving their developmental goals.”

Reinhard received her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a minor in German from Angelo State University. While in law school, Chelsea served as a law clerk for the Colorado Supreme Court and at a boutique law firm, according to the announcement.
