Holland & Knight announced Jan. 28 that Stephen Baumann has joined the firm’s labor and employment and litigation practices as a partner in its Denver and Los Angeles offices.

Baumann works with employers of all sizes to address and resolve employment and traditional labor issues throughout the employment lifecycle, from hiring and performance management to corrective action and separation of employment. He provides counsel on employment agreements, employment policies, protection of trade secrets, restrictive covenant agreements and other issues employers face.

Baumann also maintains a litigation practice in federal and state courts nationwide, including litigation involving trade secrets, noncompete and non-solicit agreements, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, failure to accommodate and wrongful termination.

“Steve’s experience with handling complex labor and employment disputes in both federal and state courts will be an invaluable asset to our team,” Bryan Neal, co-leader of Holland & Knight’s labor, employment and benefits practice group, said in a press release. “His industry relationships and reputation will significantly enhance our labor and employment practice, and we are confident he will be a great addition to the Firm.”

Baumann received his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder. He is admitted to practice in Colorado and California.

“The labor and employment arena is dynamic and constantly evolving, and Holland & Knight’s labor and employment and litigation practices are well-equipped to meet the needs of clients in this space,” Baumann said in a press release. “I look forward to leveraging the Firm’s platform to grow my practice and better serve clients.”
