Quarles & Brady LLP announced its new partner class Oct. 2, with 18 new partners elected. Included in that number is Michele Washington, who works at Quarles’ Denver office.

Washington is an intellectual property attorney who prepares and prosecutes patent applications and assists clients with U.S. and international patent portfolio development.

Washington has a technical background in the life sciences, and she assists clients with patent protection on technologies that include large molecule therapeutics, gene editing, drug delivery and immunology.

Washington earned her bachelor’s degree from Colorado College, her Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

“We’re thrilled to welcome this excellent group of attorneys to the partnership at Quarles,” Mike Aldana, Quarles’ managing partner and chair of its executive committee, said in a press release. “They have established themselves with their clients as outstanding legal practitioners and valued advisors who bring a business-minded, solution-oriented mindset to their clients’ challenges. Equally important, they have demonstrated their devotion to being great colleagues to the attorneys and business professionals with whom they work across our firm.”
