On Aug. 7, Davis Graham & Stubbs announced that Lindsay Dofelmier joined the firm as of counsel in its energy and mining group.

“The firm is thrilled to welcome Lindsay to our robust Natural Resources practice,” said Sam Niebrugge, Davis Graham’s energy and mining group leader, in a press release. “Her experience will continue to grow an already deep bench, and we look forward to her contributions to the firm and our clients.”

Dofelmier’s practice sits at the edge of the energy transition, and she uses her understanding of regulatory and transactional landscapes to meet her clients’ needs. She has experience across the private, government and nonprofit sectors and offers insights into natural resources, environmental and energy issues, including critical and rare earth minerals, mining, renewables, endangered species, water law, public lands and tribal consultation.

Dofelmier’s practice is global and spans all facets of natural resources law and all stages of project development. She advises clients on resource development on public, private and Native American lands, complex commercial transactions, permitting, compliance, disputes and issues arising under federal and state statutes related to energy, the environment and natural resources.

Before joining Davis Graham, Dofelmier worked in the Houston and Denver offices of two major international law firms, where her practice focused on natural resources and energy law, and as a legal fellow in the Defenders of Wildlife’s Denver office, where she worked on a variety of legal matters related to conservation and special status species.

Dofelmier received her J.D. from the University of Texas Law School and earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Japanese and international studies from the University of Washington.

She also maintains a robust pro bono practice and is active in the firm’s diversity efforts and the local community. Dofelmier is a member of the Turtle Clan of the Onondaga Clear Sky First Nation of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.
