Otten Johnson Robinson Neff + Ragonetti announced Oct. 22 that three attorneys joined the firm’s litigation and land use and real estate development practice teams. All three attorneys joined as associates. Danielle De Santis focuses her practice on land use and real estate development matters. She earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she served as a staff editor and executive editor for the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy. Noah Grolnick’s practice focuses on real estate litigation. He earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he was the executive technical director for the Harvard Law and Policy Review. Chasen Miller focuses his practice on construction defect litigation, primarily representing homeowners and community associations. He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado Boulder.
On Oct. 22, Greenberg Traurig, LLP added environmental and energy and natural resources practice shareholders Andrew Spielman, Courtney Shephard and Eric Waeckerlin to its Denver office. The trio joined the firm from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck. Spielman is a public lands lawyer with a particular focus on renewable energy, including wind, solar, transmission and battery storage. He works on policy and regulatory issues related to facility development and environmental permitting across the country. Shephard has a background in climate policy analysis, carbon market dynamics and emissions accounting, which she uses to develop carbon management strategies for clients. Waeckerlin advises clients in the natural resources, petroleum and natural gas industries on environmental law and regulatory matters, with a focus on compliance with the federal Clean Air Act and climate change issues facing conventional and low-carbon energy development.
Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP announced Oct. 24 that associates Brooke Hare, Hannah McCrory, Erin Mooney and John Siragusa joined the firm. Hare, Mooney and Siragusa join the firm’s business and corporate advisory group, and McCrory joins the firm’s trial group. Hare, Mooney and Siragusa are former Davis Graham summer law clerks. Hare will focus her practice on corporate transactional law, including mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters.
McCrory will focus her practice on complex commercial litigation, and Mooney’s practice will have a focus on corporate transactional law. Siragusa will advise clients on corporate and business law matters, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, finance and real estate transactions.
The judiciary
The First Judicial District will host another Fresh Start warrant forgiveness event at the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Facility in Golden, Colorado, on Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. People with active warrants for non-violent, low-level offenses in Gilpin or Jefferson counties will have an opportunity to either resolve their case or set a new court date. For the first time at this event, attorneys will also be available virtually in Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, and Pueblo Counties for anyone who also has a low-level warrant in these participating jurisdictions. Public defenders will be available to review eligibility and provide legal consultation to qualifying defendants at no cost. To check eligibility for probation violation cases, individuals should email [email protected], and for all other cases, email [email protected]. The event doesn’t require an appointment to be made in advance.
Movers & shakers
Snell & Wilmer announced Oct. 21 that the firm relocated its office to the 25th floor of Block 162, a 30-story commercial office building in Denver’s central business district. The class A building has views of the Front Range, 595,000 square feet of office space and a LEED Gold core and shell certification.
