Holland & Hart announced Jan. 2 that three associates joined the firm in Colorado: Alyssa McCain, Chelsea Marx and Fripp Prioleau. McCain focuses her practice on renewable energy project development and finance matters, Marx focuses on development, construction and financing of real estate projects and Prioleau focuses on public utility regulation matters.
McCain joined the firm in Denver. She provides guidance to clients on a variety of energy and infrastructure matters throughout the lifecycle of a project, from early-stage development and financing to acquisition and divestiture. McCain helps clients in the oil and gas, biofuel, solar, wind and conventional power sectors navigate the complex legal landscape of renewable energy projects. She also assists companies on general corporate matters in connection with mergers and acquisitions and other commercial transactions. McCain received her JD from Tulane University Law School and a master’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University.
Marx joined the firm in Boulder. She brings more than a decade of hospitality and project development experience to advise clients on the development, construction and financing of real estate projects nationwide. She provides guidance in real estate and finance projects including industrial facilities, charter schools, multifamily housing and urban-infill developments, as well as mixed-use and adaptive reuse projects. Marx routinely navigates clients through the complexities of securing financing for matters that involve tax incentives, municipal development programs, federal funding, multiple funding streams, sophisticated joint-venture partnerships and public-private partnerships. She earned her JD from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
Prioleau joined the firm in Denver and is an environmental attorney, assisting clients on public utility regulation matters across the Mountain West. Prioleau brings industrial and commercial administrative support to his clients. He works with the firm’s public utilities regulatory team on rate setting and reliability issues, permitting, rulemaking and litigation matters. Prioleau utilizes his experience to help guide clients through federal and state regulation of utilities and energy generation. He received his JD from the University of Colorado Law School.
