Hendrik Jordaan Joins Nelson Mullins as Partner in Denver

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP announced April 2 that corporate partner Hendrik Jordaan has joined the firm’s mergers and acquisitions practice in its Denver office. 

Jordaan brings more than 25 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, private credit as well as a perspective as a CEO, investor and entrepreneur to the role. 


“Hendrik is an internationally recognized advisor in M&A matters and has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results for clients,” partner Michael Hollingsworth, co-chair of Nelson Mullins’ mergers and acquisitions group, said in a press release.. “He will enhance the depth and breadth of our middle-market practice while significantly expanding our platform across Colorado, Texas, and the Western United States.”

Over the course of Jordaan’s career, he has held various leadership positions, including global head of private equity investments and buyouts at an Am Law 100 firm. From 2013 to 2024, Jordaan served as president and CEO of an international private equity fund managing $120 million in assets, while also overseeing a $110 million private credit fund based in New York. 

As founder of both funds, Jordaan chaired their investment committees and played a central role in developing and executing investment strategies.
