Gov. Polis Appoints Tayler Thomas to the 10th Judicial District Court

Gov. Jared Polis on May 31 appointed Tayler Thomas to the 10th Judicial District Court, covering Pueblo County. The vacancy was created by the retirement of Judge Larry Schwartz and is effective immediately. 

Thomas is a senior deputy public defender for the Office of the Colorado State Public Defender, a position she’s held since 2016. Her practice consists of criminal defense, according to the announcement. She received her bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University Pueblo in 2013 and her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2016.
