Davis Graham & Stubbs Adds Five

Attorneys join trial, finance and acquisitions, M&A, and natural resources departments

Davis Graham & Stubbs announced Wednesday that the firm has added five new associates: Kristin Arthur joins the trial department; Jessica Dangoia-Crandall joins the finance and acquisitions department; Michael Golz joins the natural resources department; Kelsey Johnson joins the natural resources department; and Philip Nickerson joins the trial department.  

Arthur is a former summer associate who will focus her practice on commercial litigation and appeals. She received a law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from New York University. After completing internships at three Colorado courts, she competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition, where she won awards for both her written and oral advocacy. Prior to joining DGS, Arthur served as a law clerk for Judge David Ebel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit. She was also a law clerk and judicial assistant for Justice Brian Boatright of the Colorado Supreme Court. 


Dangoia-Crandall is a past summer associate who will focus her practice on general corporate matters, real estate matters, and merger and acquisition transactions. She received a law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. Before starting at DGS, Dangoia-Crandall externed for Judge Robert McGahey, Jr. of the Denver District Court and for Senior Administrative Law Judge Edwin Felter, Jr. of the Colorado Office of Administrative Courts. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a paralegal at a law firm in Jackson, Wyoming. 

Golz is a former summer associate who will focus his practice on environmental law. He received a law degree from Stanford Law School, a master’s degree from Stanford University’s School of Earth, Energy & Environmental Sciences, and a bachelor’s degree from Brown University. Before joining DGS, Golz was a postgraduate legal intern at Stanford Law School’s Environmental Law Clinic. During law school, he worked as a student attorney for the clinic and was a certified law clerk for the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office. 

Johnson’s practice will have a broad emphasis on the energy sector. She received a law degree from Tulane University Law School and a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University. Prior to joining DGS, Johnson served as a law clerk for Judge Cynthia Mares of the 18th Judicial District in Colorado. She also worked as a judicial intern for Judge Michael Hegarty of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and as an investigative intern in the Colorado Public Defender’s Office. 

Nickerson’s practice will focus on commercial litigation and disputes. In addition to holding leadership roles with the Colorado Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and the Sam Cary Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, he is an adjunct professor of International Practice and Procedure at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a coach for its International Moot Court Team. Nickerson received his J.D./MBA from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University. Prior to joining DGS, he was an attorney at a boutique litigation firm in Denver, as well as a law clerk to Judge Kato Crews of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado.
