Law Firm Updates
Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced July 25 two leadership elevations. Effective Aug. 1, Carrie Johnson and Blair Lichtenfels will join as co-chairs, respectively, of the firm’s litigation and real estate departments. Johnson’s practice is focused on litigation related to complex contracts, corporate governance, fiduciary duty, fraud and securities issues. She is co-chair of the firm’s environmental social governance practice and women’s leadership initiative. As a real estate attorney, Lichtenfels advises prominent developers and equity investors in connection with urban infill, brownfield, master-planned, mixed-use and transit-oriented developments. Lichtenfels currently serves on the firm’s strategic planning committee as well as the WLI’s steering committee.
Lathrop GPM LLP announced July 25 the election of four new members to its executive committee. Partners Liz Dillon, Ryan Gerads, Scott Malin and Bridget Romero have served in leadership capacities across the firm for many years. Dillon is a partner in the firm’s Minneapolis office and leads the firm’s franchise and distribution practice group. Gerads is a partner in the firm’s St. Cloud office practicing corporate, business and tax law. Malin is a partner in the firm’s St. Louis, Chicago and Denver offices assisting with the intergenerational transfer of wealth structured to reduce tax implications for clients’ businesses and their families. Romero is a partner in the firm’s Kansas City office and focuses her practice on employment and labor law.
Stinson LLP announced July 26 the addition of Jonathan Manning to the firm as an associate in its Denver office. Manning joins as a member of the firm’s banking and financial services practice division. Manning’s commercial finance practice focuses on assisting regional and national lenders in transactions involving the development and acquisition of real estate. He also works with investment funds and private equity groups in developing various services agreements and advising on regulatory compliance in federal, state and municipal courts. Manning earned his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.

Lathrop GPM LLP announced July 20 the firm and its lawyers have been ranked in Chambers High Net Worth 2023. Ten of the firm’s attorneys received regional honors in the 2023 directory, with the firm ranked in Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota and Missouri. Denver partner Alison Zinn is newly ranked in 2023. Chambers High Net Worth 2023 recognized Lathrop GPM in Private Wealth Law in Kansas, Minnesota and Missouri. The firm announced that in Minnesota and Kansas, Lathrop GPM has more ranked attorneys than any other law firm.
