Firms reported 15 big deals to Law Week in our Q4 2024 survey, outnumbering deals reported for the third quarter but dipping below the number of deals reported in the second and first quarter for 2024.
Last year, firms reported 21 deals to Law Week in Q4. For 2024, economists predicted slight growth at around 3% globally on the conservative end, while more optimistic market reports project 8 to 9% growth. Economists also anticipated more modest consumer spending.
In Colorado, new entity filings in the fourth quarter decreased 0.4% year-over-year and 1.9% quarter-over-quarter. The seasonal decrease from Q3 to Q4 occurred at a slower-than-average rate, according to data released by the Colorado Secretary of State.
Total delinquencies also increased 10.1% year-over year, but were down 0.9% from the prior quarter. But the state’s numbers related to GDP, job growth and productivity all increased.
The following deals were submitted to Law Week by the firms who worked on them. Deal notes and details were edited for clarity, length and style.
