Legislators who sponsored Senate Bill 85 pose with CWBA members. The bar association has a subcommittee that played a key role in drafting the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Among its key provisions are a private right of action for employees who discover they are receiving less pay than colleagues for equal work, as well as a prohibition on employers from relying on salary history to determine an employee’s compensation.
