The Colorado Bar Association welcomed a new class into its ranks on Tuesday at the Colorado Bar swearing in ceremony at the Boettcher Concert Hall in downtown Denver.
Various bar association presidents and representatives for organizations were present for the ceremony. Chief Justice Nancy Rice and the justices of the Colorado Supreme Court presided over the event, congratulating the new inductees.
“Passing the bar is a nasty ordeal, frankly,” Rice said to the new bar members. “You don’t want to have to take that sucker twice.”
Colorado Bar Association president Patricia Jarzobski offered support to inductees and invited them to become involved communally in the profession, reminding them that almost half of all U.S. presidents and senators have been attorneys.
