Tim Aragon’s team had at least one sleepless night while working on a deal, finalized this December, with the Wyndham Hotel Group in absorbing a sprawling set of Latin American hotels.
But when the transaction spans continents and involves a client with undisclosed sums to spend, the job has to get done somehow.
“At the very end, when we were coming to crunch time, we had to pull an all-nighter to get it done,” Aragon said. “In the trenches at 4 a.m. you want a team you can work with.”
The hotel company is the largest in the world with almost 8,000 hotels globally, tallying 689,800 rooms in 75 countries. The Wyndham Hotel Group recently acquired Fën Hotels, a leading Latin American chain, in December, adding 22 hotels in six Central and South American countries.
