Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced Tuesday that Emily Kaufman Weber joined the firm’s Denver office as a shareholder. Weber, who previously worked as associate general counsel for University of Colorado Health, will work in Brownstein’s regulatory health care practice.
Weber will help academic medical centers, hospitals and other health care providers navigate clinical trial and other research related opportunities. She has experience ensuring academic research compliance and assists with developing faculty practice plans. She will also apply her regulatory expertise to the firm’s mergers and acquisitions, employment law, intellectual property and litigation services for the health care industry.
In addition to her in-house experience at UCHealth, Weber also worked as associate counsel for Temple University Health System, Inc. and as associate counsel and compliance officer for Vail Valley Medical Center.
Weber earned her law degree from the Villanova University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
