The 15th Judicial District Nominating Commission has nominated two candidates for a district court judgeship created by the retirement of the Judge P. Douglas Tallman, effective Oct. 3, 2015. Nominees Michael Davidson and Donald Steerman, both of Lamar, were selected by the commission on Monday at a meeting in Lamar.
Under the Colorado Constitution, the governor has 15 days from Sept. 15 within which to appoint one of the nominees as district court judge for the Fifteenth Judicial District, which covers Baca, Cheyenne, Kiowa and Prowers counties.
