LAW WEEK COLORADO
ALTHOUGH Marian Lee started her career as an attorney, now her job focuses on making lawyers “better at what they do.”
Lee, now the senior director of legal talent for Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, was a commercial litigator until 2007. She’s based in the firm’s Denver office but manages professional development programs for all the firm’s 14 offices nationwide.
From conducting training sessions and coordinating CLE opportunities to dreaming up new evaluation schemes and associate mentorship programs, her job is singularly focused on making associates of good attorneys.
She still has her license to practice law in Colorado and takes on a pro bono case from time to time. But these days, she functions as a “relationship broker” most of the time, she said.
