Associate Litigator Joins Snell & Wilmer

Snell & Wilmer announced today that Erik Nielsen joined the Denver office as an associate in the firm’s commercial litigation group.

Nielsen represents clients in industries including financial services, construction, insurance, real estate and energy. He has litigated complex construction defect claims, land-use disputes, energy-generation permitting matters, environmental claims, real estate disputes and breach-of-contract claims. Nielsen has practiced before a number of state and federal tribunals including state courts, federal courts and administrative agencies.

Prior to joining Snell & Wilmer, Nielsen worked in an East Coast regulatory litigation firm and clerked for two appellate court judges. He also served as an adjunct professor, teaching courses at Vermont Law School and the Community College of Vermont. Nielsen graduated with a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and received his B.A. in planning and public policy from Rutgers University.
