Lathrop & Gage announced Thursday that Donna Gonzales joined the firm’s intellectual property group as an associate in Denver.

Gonzales’ practice focuses on domestic and international trademark portfolio management, including trademark clearance and prosecution, and trademark litigation in federal court and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Her experience also includes copyright prosecution and enforcement, as well as customs enforcement, according to the firm.

Gonzales comes from Sheridan Ross, where she was an associate in the trademark and copyright group. She served as a law clerk with the U.S. Air Force intellectual property group and at the Department of Commerce Office of the Chief Counsel for Import Administration, where she assisted in international trade disputes. Gonzales obtained her juris doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
