The Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel announced Monday that Snell & Wilmer partner Jessica Yates will be the next attorney regulation counsel for the state.
“The work of the Office of Attorney Regulation is extremely important, and I’m excited to lead its efforts,” Yates said. “Being an attorney is more than a job. There are overarching responsibilities in being part of our system of law. I’d like every attorney in Colorado to embrace those responsibilities.”
Yates will step in for attorney regulation counsel Jim Coyle, who is set to retire June 30. Coyle has been with OARC for 28 years. He became attorney regulation counsel in 2013. Yates received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a master’s degree from the University of York in England. She received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.
