Brownstein Names New Members of Exec Committee

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck announced Thursday leadership promotions within the firm.

Rich Benenson and Rob Kaufmann have been named members of the firm’s executive committee. They join the committee’s current members, Adam Agron, Marc Lampkin, Elizabeth Paulsen, Ellen Schulhofer and Scott Slater. The executive committee, including Agron, the firm’s managing partner, guide the strategic direction of the firm. Benenson and Kaufmann replace shareholders Steve Demby and John McDermott who have transitioned off the EC after completing their terms.

Benenson is a senior litigator and also co-chair of Brownstein’s litigation department. He defends companies in complex litigation, antitrust, consumer protection, business torts, class actions and securities matters. He regularly defends officers and directors in shareholder/investor claims of wrongful conduct and breach of fiduciary duty.

Kaufman works in real estate and has knowledge on both the legal and business sides of the real estate market. His clients include private equity companies and REITs to family-owned companies, and he works in acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition of retail, office, multifamily, land, industrial and corporate office relocation projects and large portfolio transactions.
