POLITICO Playbook Exchange Comes to Denver

Gov. John Hickenlooper talks local, national politics

As part of the POLITICO: Playbook Exchange event series, Gov. John Hickenlooper spoke with correspondents Jake Sherman and Anna Palmer Tuesday evening on local Colorado issues that intersect at the national level in Washington.

The event, which was cosponsored by and hosted at the financial information company S&P Global in downtown Denver, is part of POLITICO’s series taking Playbook on the road. So far, the event has also been held in California and Texas.

Reza Kazemian, director of wastewater management for the city of Denver, attended in hopes of hearing the governor address issues of water quality. He added that new regulations for states that are handed down by the Environmental Protection Agency are usually announced publicly, so he wants to stay on top of future policies.

“I just want to see what he has to say, see if there’s something I need to know,” Kazemian said.
