Jackson Lewis, announced yesterday that Marcela Mendoza joined the firm’s Denver office as a principal. Mendoza, who joins Jackson Lewis from Ogletree Deakins and has more than 16 years of experience in business-related immigration matters.
“We are thrilled to welcome Marcela to the firm. Her extensive experience in all aspects of immigration law make her a valued lateral for the Denver region, and most importantly for our clients,” said Ryan Lessman, Denver office managing principal.
Mendoza’s experience includes specializing in temporary business visas and permanent residency on behalf of foreign national employees, and assisting employers in various industries with securing work authorization for foreign national employees in the U.S. She also counsels clients through mergers and acquisitions, providing guidance with regard to I-9, E-verify compliance and related anti-discrimination provisions.
Mendoza received her bachelor’s degree from the Metropolitan State College of Denver and her law degree from the University of Denver.
