Wheels of Justice Kicks Off Annual Fundraiser

Attorneys help raise money for Children’s Hospital Colorado cancer unit.

With the philanthropic support of attorneys, cancer survivors and cycling enthusiasts alike, the attorney-led cycling team appropriately named “Wheels of Justice” kicked off its 12th annual fundraising event in Denver Thursday to raise money for the Courage Classic, a cycling campaign that raises money to support patients of Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Wheels of Justice co-founding captain patent law attorney and founder of Bradford Ltd., Aaron Bradford said the Wheels of Justice cycling team raises an average of $350,000 during the two-day Courage Classic — which is particularly exciting for those who want to be involved in philanthropic causes that support children.

“I have been involved in a lot different fundraisers in the legal profession, usually involving ‘rubber chicken dinners’ where we would spend a ton of money to put on an event but when we looked at the net profit of the organization, we didn’t really make as much money as we thought we did,” he said.

However, when Bradford came across the hospital-sponsored Courage Classic, he realized a lot more money could be raised without spending too much on fundraisers.
